1: to do it properly, it needs to be done on the western outskirts of Melbourne. But of ourse, we're talking about the woeful Mad Max III here, and not the superior earlier movies. Shit floats, I guess.
2: I didnt know there were that many XB model Falcon coupe's still around. Eric Bana has one, and he smashed it. I'm sure the rest were compacted years ago.
3: One year, I will get to Burning Man. Just not this year.

My first car was a yellow XB station wagaon.  Mother drove it before I got it... and before her... it was owned by Lifeline.

[trivia] I did the ninbin run in under 4 hours in it... including a crash into a tree hauling asss out of ninbin after the feral kids try to roll me for the weed (it was late around 9pm), hit the try right where the hood meets the quarter... it only rubbed on the tyre when going hard into the corners on the twisty bits[/triva]

Look dude, there's only one thing I like that starts with Hot Black Co- and it doesn't end in 'ffee'.

Re: Sweet! Reply #5 on: August 28, 2010, 11:44:29 PM
The car I first drove was my old man's XB Fairmont sedan, 4.9 litre V8 and no power steering. Weighed about as much as my current car does and about 5 times more solid than my current car is.

Ours was the 6, also without power, in "chrome yellow" aka American school bus yellow.... A 6cyl lounge chair with a steering wheel.  I do miss it.

First car:

1972 AMC Matador, 225CI slant 6. Fucking.bomb.proof. Which made it the choice of local police departments all over the country.

Second car:

1972 Chevrolet Nova, 327CI V8, 4 speed stick, black vinyl interior, no air conditioning. Yeah, the redneck girls loved it...

I still have one of these Falcons.

60/61 2 door, white, 144 cid straight 6. It runs ok but I don't drive it anymore.

My first car was a hand-me-down 1994 Ford Taurus station wagon.

I miss that car because I could throw a lot of crap in it.

Au contraire mon frere, just got my license reinstated this morning. But it is registered non-op though and parked in my back yard, oh well. I get to drive my truck again though. Yea!

Eh I don't know, I think I'll still spend a lot of time on my bike. I haven't missed those gasoline bills and am not looking forward to them again.
