24 hour party people, paul, walk hard, shawshank redemption, your highness(Read 3340 times)
I just picked these five movies up, only one I've seen is Paul, which was hilarious.

Thoughts, anyone?
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

Shawshank Redemption is very good, even for Stephen King...
No Nyarlathotep, no chaos...

So I've heard, and so IMDb agrees. I've purposefully avoided seeing bits of it on tv when it comes on, so I know nothing more about it than the fact that it's a prison-escape type movie with Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman (I think?). I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, Shawshank Redemption is one of those movies that if I see it on TV, I end up watching it until the end, wherever I came in at.  Love that damn film.  I read the story it was based on years before the movie, and it kept true to it pretty damn well.

Walk Hard is a piece of shit though, unless you like Will Ferrel-style movies that don't have Will Ferrel in them.  Half of the ones WITH him in them still suck.
No one mourns the wicked.

24 hour is decent. Best to like Steve Coogan's style though.

If you do happen to like him..  Coogan made a TV show a few years back called Saxondale.  Its ok.

Look dude, there's only one thing I like that starts with Hot Black Co- and it doesn't end in 'ffee'.

I hope Shawshank goes well for you because it was far over-hyped for me. It's a decent film, but I don't understand the love for it. If you want a good prison movie see Cool Hand Luke.

I still haven't seen "O Brother, where art thou?"
No Nyarlathotep, no chaos...
KNOW NYARLATHOTEP, KNOW CHAOS!

Really?  It's an awesome movie.
No one mourns the wicked.

I haven't seen that yet either. That or No Country For Old Men.

Haven't seen that either.

NCFOM is pretty good, but it's like There Will be Blood, kinda just rambles on from scene to scene with the plot in the background.
No one mourns the wicked.

I agree... I think it's made for people who cant think for themselves when watching a flick, and need all the plot details drawn for them in crayon. I will recommend Ghosts of the Civil Dead as a prison movie. If you can find it. Or Chopper.

I like 24 Hour Party People, even though I despise Coogan's smarmy delivery.

NCFOM is exactly like Johnny said... I didnt really get it. Nice photography though.

Mad Max apparently has a loose plot, but lots of crazy car and motorcycle action.

Walk Hard was great, but long. Could've been about 20 minutes shorter, but I think I may've gotten the extended version.

Paul was pretty funny.
