I'ma tell you what, Raccoons were a big problem for a while here in Ca. and they are smart little fuckers. Now it's just skunks and possums.
But all of these things are supposed to be pretty good eating. I can't even say how many I have killed. You don't want to shoot a skunk on your front porch.

I've known a couple of ol'skule people from Louisiana who used to kill excess raccoons, skin them, then sell the pelts and meat to the inner-city folk ...
