Yep exactly! I've never known a woman who can cook better than I, including my mother!  Aaron is a lucky man.

Some of us poor boys don't have a fine woman like you.

well, might still find you one.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #847 on: December 22, 2014, 07:48:32 PM
Yeah I doubt I will live long enough, most people in my family have died pretty young. And trying to take on a new person today, well, seems kind of silly.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #848 on: December 22, 2014, 07:52:56 PM
you never know. Lord knows I never expected this motherfucker here. I wanted to be single forever. only been talking about it for half a decade. Im not one of theose romantics that will tell you one day you will meet the love of your life, but hell, if I could find someone who didnt make me feel like im drowning, you could too.

anyway, I made chicken stir fry with broccoli, mushrooms, cabbage, snow peas and fried rice. it was delicious.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #849 on: December 22, 2014, 10:50:55 PM
Yep, not giving up hope. But putting very little energy into it.

Where the fuck could I meet anyone? I stay at home until I'm forced out for food shopping or cat food.
I can't think why any woman would be interested in a useless old fuck like me.

But like you say, you never know.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #868 on: December 23, 2014, 03:44:49 PM
I dont follow recipes, btw. all salt and cumin is to taste.
you need: a red tomato, a quarter onion, both diced. garlic, cilantro, salt and cumin, ground meat, rice, an egg, potatoes, carrots, and if you like mexican squash (or any squash, really) and cabbage if you like.

Dice the tomato, quarter of an onion, and chop some cilantro, salt, and two cloves of garlic either minced or whole which you fan later fish out and break down, and put a pot of water to boil and put all that in.

Then, mix the meat, an egg, a 1/4 c of rice, salt, minced garlic, minced onion, cumin and mix til it comes together. play witcha balls. :p
lower the temp on water, drop meatballs in the water slowly, then crank water back up to med.
meanwhile, chop veggies. take out cup and a half of broth, set aside. add half a can of tomato sauce to broth.

20 min after putting balls in, put veggies in.  once potatoes are cooked, youre done.

make rice: brown the rice in pan, add other half a can of tomato sauce, the cup of broth, add a little salt if desired, let it cook the reg 20 min.

Course Kosher sea salt if any.
OMG this stuff tastes nothing like regular table salt.
