CET: I cycled 24 miles today at the hottest part of the day and it was fine. Nice to know that I can do a long ride* at that time of the day, because that means at any other time it'd be even easier. Also, a bandana plus a fairly wide-billed cap really works for keeping my ears and face from getting sunburnt.

*yes, I'm aware that 24 miles isn't that far. But it's the longest ride I've done since I started getting really into cycling recently.

I walked seven miles today. It was around 46 degrees and quite motivating!
And I don't mean walmart-walking. More like wanna-be jogging. My boots are kinda

Resistance bands for about 45 minutes, really focusing on upper body.

Hey, I keep reading that crunches won't help rid one of belly fat.
That what does that is all over cardio.
So does that mean crunches and moves of that type are for sculpting the-six pack?

CET: 12 mile cycle earlier and then an hour twenty minutes of kickboxing just now. Feelin' good!

For the lack of potassium, I am now paying. Every core muscle I own is screaming in pain.... I'm putting an extra twenty of minutes of stretching in to try to ease that a bit.

Is it getting silly because there are new Current _____ Thoughts threads? Because exercise is not silly, well, unless you're being silly when exercising.

 

so for some reason i started doing weird interval workouts in my living room, and it hurts you guys, it hurts. i feel like such a wuss when 15 pound kettle balls things are kicking my ass. those things when you kneel and stand up. uggh. at least i get a good smoothie after.

I do. My mom and sister gotgym memberships again and are actually going three times a week. I am stunned!
The other night my mom said that her whole body hurt and she was going to ask the doctor for muscle relaxers.
I asked her if she stretches before and after the gym and she looked at me like I had just asked her to fuck a dog.
And said no.
Wtf.

I stretch before kickboxing. Never really before or after anything else.

I do warm up before I do anything heavy though.

I always warm up and stretch before fencing but not after. I walk home and its cold and that's my cool down. xD

That sounds great, I am going serious thought to what kin of bike would be best. Not The Village Bike.

I haven't worked out in 4 days but I burned  calories.

Heh. Does it matter that I don't live near a mountain? Is it the off-road tires? Those are the kinds of bikes I've been looking at. Not those ghey ones with the twisted-backwards handles and paper thin tires.

And. If my (future) bike was cOnsrtucted on the same conveyor belt and with the same material, as yours, wouldn't they theoretically be kin?

I had a TREK 830, it was a damn fine bike.

Get tires that have a solid bead around the middle, they have less rolling resistance and ride smoother than the ones with bumpy knobs.

Ten+ miles a day on the fixie whip and systema power training.
Also I really like doing pushups to "fifty in the clip" by dead prez.

I have a Sun with a pedal crank forward. I ride 15-20 miles a day and it's great on my back. I'm down to193 from somewhere in the high 130s. Working 14 hour days and eating minimal carbs and less than 1000 calories per day might have something to do with that....

It's hard to believe that you are even 193 Zoom.

Zoomie, when he was here, was looking the BEST I've EVER seen him, and was VERY mentally balanced, and well, and that's over my 15 (or so) years of knowing him ...  Even Melissa had to comment on this ... Good for him; he deserves his new(ish) happiness!
