Eastenders 25th year anniversary programme tonight which they did live and we found out who killed Archie.
I find it a little weird that Eastenders is younger than me, if only by a couple years.

really? You ever watch it?

Not since about '93, but yeah.
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

Re: TV Shows Reply #151 on: May 01, 2010, 07:52:37 AM
Theyve started showing degrassi on saturday mornings. It is so different, i prefered the older chars i think, but i still mostly like it.

Also watch 90210 now, its hilarious.

Monk.

And the cut, which is on after degrassi, its just another school drama. Not as colourful as degrassi.

And glee! Its just so funny.

I kinda do, although I have to say I can pretty well get my UKTV fix from BBC America. I even watched a couple episodes of this new Dr Who last night. I'm not totally sold on the new guy, but it was cool seeing Daleks again.

I watcxhed the Dalek ep last night.

The new girl should be in the 'wanna fuck' thread.

Agreed. I had major chub for the black girl from a few seasons back too...

Re: TV Shows Reply #158 on: May 04, 2010, 04:52:15 PM
Martha jones. She was pretty.

Also eastenders is interesting again, they have some new (for me) stuff i.e. A muslim family coming to terms with a gay son. Most interesting plot line in a while... Although dragged out.

I watched that show until the second season.  When it was "I fuck people for money because I like it and screw you if you have a problem with that" it was a good show, but now it's all whiny "Oh woe is me I can't have a boyfriend because I fuck six other men every night" bulllshit and I've completely lost interest and any sympathy.

Yes. Although as Billie put it, her dad can't watch the show either because he's a carpenter, and he drops by the merchant or the union hall and the guys are like "Saw your Billie on telly last night, hauling out her tits again"... which is always nice.

I watched an ep or two at some point and got bored. Too much drama, not enough tits. Californication has about the right ratio.

Re: TV Shows Reply #166 on: May 08, 2010, 04:51:03 AM
My favorite two right now are Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara on Showtime.  True Blood is coming back on again soon so that's good, but HBO is starting to scare me with some of the shows it's carrying now.  It started with that low-budget show that Louis C.K. made that was kinda funny sometimes, but now they're starting to air these stupid shows that are little more than Adult Swim knockoffs. It doesn't help that one of them is just a bunch of crappy Ricky Gervais podcasts with cheap animation cobbled together to make it a TV show.  I hate Ricky Gervais and I wish he would die in a fire.

On that note, whatever happened to British comedy?  The UK used to be the masters of television comedy, and now the best thing that's been brought over in the last decade is Mighty Boosh, and it's not THAT good.
No one mourns the wicked.

Re: TV Shows Reply #167 on: May 08, 2010, 08:40:57 AM
Johnny it's not like the old days. It's hard to dislike you when you're spot on. Louis CK is a tool, Jim Norton was the only funny thing on that show. Gervais is a shit, those animated soundbites make me want to cancel my cable subscription. The movies on SyFy (gay name change) are complete shit (Mongolian Death Worm... WTF man...) but the new Stargate series is kind of cool. And Merlin... it's like Camelot for teen girls. I don't get it.

Mighty boosh was goddamn hilarious.

Outnumbered is the bbcs new comedy.

Re: TV Shows Reply #169 on: May 08, 2010, 09:15:25 AM
Oh yeah SGU is good.  I never watched any of the previous Stargate shows but I gave it a chance because I liked the sound of the premise, and it's on my top ten list right now.  I have a hard time watching stuff on "SyFy" though, for exactly that reason, I can't even stand to watch the ADS for the other shit that they air, like that stupid worm movie.  Me and my roomate were making fun of it jsut last night with the "Inspired by a REAL Operation: Truth!" (or whatever) investigation.  Whoop dee doo, you made a horrible movie based on an episode of one of your even more horrible "paranormal investigation" shows.  If it weren't for SGU and Dr Who my TV would never touch SyFy.  And I may stop watching Dr Who depending on how well this new guy measures up to David Tennant.  I think I'm a little gay for Tennant.  Yeah, I said it.

Strangely enough, I like Warehouse 13.  I know it's bad, I know it's cheesy, but I like it and I don't know why.

Matt smith, i like him, hes very energetic. Looks like a junkie in several shots but hes good imo.

The writing in these new eps isnt as good, it gets kinda confusing sometimes like in the ww2 ep.

If you feel like it, download Underbelly. More tits per minute than Californication, and horrible Australian acting. What's not to like?

Re: TV Shows Reply #173 on: May 08, 2010, 11:00:34 PM

I don't have a TV now. Maybe I'll get one come baseball season, maybe I'll go to the pub more. Either is a win

I don't either. Since the digital shift over I haven't turned a single TV on. I have a converter box but the fucker is still IN the box. I have cable too. Recently they had to come out and replace the wire to my house. He said all the pay channels are enabled for now. I STILL DO NOT HAVE A TV CONNECTED!

Count me in on the non-TV viewing audience.  I've got NetFlix and access to Hulu/etc. sites.

The only thing I really miss is any NEWS ~ skewed or otherwise.  It's almost like, the more I can reach out and touch the ENTIRE world?  The more my little world shrinks in around me.  I can't care, anymore, about society, as a whole, 'cuz it's FUCKED UP, and represents pretty much everything I'm against.  I'm swiftly losing whatever National Identity I might have had, 'cuz we evidently aren't Americans, we're a bunch of fucking immigrants and minorities that NEED pretty much Everything to live, or have USED  others in our reckless ambition of becoming something to write home about.

Tru?  You're still my Hero!

Zoomer?  YOU'RE still my wet dream!  lol

The three of us could marry,

sit around, NOT watching TV and getting drunk!  lol

We'll call ourselves:  Tru-Fyre-Zoom

and as soon as our union is recognized?

We'll adopt Dylan,

and call him our little Dyl pickle!

Now THERE's a nuculear famBily!!!

Loaded-Gun.com - I don't know what the hell they are talking about or why they are even there. They don't make serious points and they don't joke, but they still manage to make a lot of posts somehow.
