you've all become a bunch of raging hipsters  :-\

you posted a song called zombies by a band called judgement day, they play cellos.
I like the song but how is that not 'hipster' ?

OH SNAP! ... in all fairness i didn't bother watching any of the songs you posted because i have no clue who you're.. and didn't care enough to trash talk your taste in music.  ;)

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A HIPSTER IS!... but the picture i have in my mind for one is pretty much bagman.

Re: new music Reply #31 on: May 22, 2012, 07:25:53 PM
HAHAHA Bagster...

I'm old as fuck and I like the stuff mosh posted. But then... I still listen to Kool Moe Dee...

I like this band a lot.  They're not new though:

The only new music I really listen to is industrial on podcasts.

Re: new music Reply #34 on: May 24, 2012, 01:47:02 AM
I do have a beard, semi-thick black glasses, plaid shirts... but dammit I am not a hipster. Austin is full of hipsters, but I tend to stay away from them. Except, 13chemicals.

Great song:
M83 - Midnight City I missed these guys on Friday because tickets were sold out and people on Craigslist were selling theirs for triple the price.

Re: new music Reply #35 on: May 24, 2012, 07:23:09 PM
That is a great song. And you are so a hipster.
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

Heard this song in the closing credits of Hotel Hell last night.

ESILY - "Enjoy Yourself" (It's Later Than You Think)

This is a strange video though.

A different version.

That's the signal that Tru just got bored with this. Or he's drinking. Or both.

Dave's idea of new music:

Poison - Talk Dirty To Me

Not drinking yesterday or today ... yet. Don't know how long that can last.
I just liked the message of the song.

By far the most brutal band I've ever listened to:

Dystopia-Love/Hate
"White people is stupid, yo." ~ random black guy from Memphis.

Re: new music Reply #42 on: May 26, 2012, 02:22:43 AM
Skrillex is playing here tomorrow night, but I'm not a big fan. I am a fan of my man Dan Deacon though. I've seen him twice and his shows are super energetic and dance worthy.

Dan Deacon - Snookered

The first portion is a little slow, but that's how his build ups are many times. Give it a chance... about 3:00 it starts JAMMING.

Re: new music Reply #43 on: May 26, 2012, 08:45:46 AM
I gots an android app called MusicMate that finds free mp3s and downloads them to the sdcard on my android.
When my oldest daughter got her dads old droid, she found a similar app. Is it legal. Fuck, I dunno.

One of the bands she turned me on to is I Set My Friends On Fire. Purely because they have a scremo cover of "CrankDat SouljaBoy", which is on my phone. Something about an Indian Teenager screaming "Haters gettin mad cuz I got me some BATHIN APES!" makes me giggle.

Re: new music Reply #44 on: May 26, 2012, 06:30:41 PM
Neither of them are indian. One has arabic ancestry and one has jamaican. You got me all excited for nothing. </3

I seriously love Kelly Clarkson.
A female singer that doesn't just sing about boys and sex..!

Kelly Clarkson - Dark Side

I heard this on the soundtrack for Bronson. The song makes the movie that much more uncomfortable.

Well I'll be damned.  This is what I get for taking the word of middle-schoolers. Zee's bestie is Indian/Guyanese *is that the right word? She is of Indian decent but her family moved from Guyana, which has had a good sized Indian population for generations..ya know what I mean* and she said the dude was Indian and I just took her word for it. Kinda like how people would take my word for it if I said someone was Scandinavian or German.

The more you know...

>>because I just recently watched hard candy.<<

Hard Candy was a fucked up movie because she blamed the guy for shit that happened in her life he had no clue about.

She cut his balls off but then killed him anyway.

Stoner rock from a stoner suburb... Bayswater (which incidentally is no where near the bay) boys

Bugdust - Chemical Sunrise

80's hard rock brought forward... the singer is easy on the eye, so is the metal rolling stock:

HEAVEN THE AXE - "So Nirvana" - Summernats 25 Credits by Ignition Productions
