New series: Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States

Here's your chance to learn some measure of unequivocal truth about the evilest people on earth ever to be claimed to be "American Heroes".-And possibly give you a better insight into the rantings I used to engage in.

Actually, no, I didn't. If they'd mentioned it before I always assumed they were referring to the other Mike. The one in MA, postal employee, conspiracy theorist, Lovernios. From TSi. He and I were friends for a while.... Then his daughter had a kid... And he went deeply into Religion... I stopped talking to him when he refused to stop calling my Goddess a Whore... Blah Blah Blah.

Well hello then!

I know you'll find this amusing, but my I had a nic as a small child.
I didn't know my real name until first grade.

Re: Zoomies Heroes Reply #10 on: January 07, 2013, 01:00:33 PM
Hmm! Well, was that on purpose? Did someone not want you to know your name? Or did you decide that your name was unimportant?

Through middle school, I told prospective friends, as well as favorite teachers, that my nickname was Becki, or Alex Daniels. The Becki name was derived from a deep-seated jealousy of one of my cousins (Who's parents allowed her to smoke cigarettes and have sex with boys) and the Alex Daniels name was derived from my twisted little perception of my own freshly begun alcohol binges ... Jack Daniels being the most readily available tonic, with Ron Rico a close second.

I feel so much better now that I've finally confessed this to someone.

There are only about 4 or 5 people still alive who know the answer to that.
Maybe I should leave it at that.

Re: Zoomies Heroes Reply #22 on: January 08, 2013, 07:15:48 PM
Yeah it's not bad, I just wish I had known that I had a "real" name before I was 6 years old.
I wanted to get a good start in school so I learned how to write my name before I went into kindergarten. All through that year I wrote what I thought was my name on every activity sheet the teacher handed out and there was no mention about it. Then I went to first grade and I was placed in one class for just a couple of days then through reshuffling was moved to a different class. I was already pissed off because I really liked the teacher I was being moved away from.

Apparently the teacher in the new room had told the class I would be coming and used my real name. I signed my classwork with the nic that I thought was my name, a little girl went around with the teacher picking up papers and when she looked at mine I heard her ask the teacher why I signed it that way. I don't remember exactly what the teacher said or if I even heard what she said in reply. I asked the teacher later why the girl had said that and then learned what my (legal) name really was for the first time.  I had no fucking idea!

After that everyone in class knew that I didn't even know my own fucking name.
School was all downhill from there.

I bet my parents laughed for hours over that.
