That video is a few years old.  Police are losing most of those cases.  Token victories in the creep of the police state, though.

Yeah that one seems to be from a previous era, I only noticed it recently. But the very idea is in fact chilling.

Yeah, Illinois is still pushing for a total ban of recording on-duty cops.  It seems that to be a cop in Illinois that you must be a criminal in the other 49 states.

Cops are intentionally selected to be of below average to average intelligence and rule followers. 

They generally want dimwits who won't question the broader legality of department policy, the necessity of force, the validity of department practices, etc.  The LAPD was openly recruiting racist dimwits from the American south during the 60s, for instance, because they wanted people happy to kick the shit out of the uppity blacks.
