Anyone else dig? I'm fairly new to it, but have been a major fan of Tiger Army since we saw 'em a couple years ago. They fucking rock.

Slap-bass in general is awesome. Anyone else dig the genre? Recommendations?

I live what I've heard, although I'm by no means knowledgeable about the genre.

Certainly some good songs by Rev. Horton Heat and the Young Werewolves. Does Screamin' Jay Hawkins count? I think the last psychobilly band I was listening to was Damage Done by Worms.

I saw the Fireballs last Christmas... they only do show's every couple of years now , and the Prince Of Wales was packed.

Great show. Big psychobilly scene down here.

The Rev. Horton Heat is definately a great place to start. I'd look at the Cramps too...

Actually, while I think of it, early Jesus & Mary Chain...

Re: psychobilly Reply #5 on: April 05, 2009, 10:01:10 AM
Aw yeah. J&M Chain are great. I think they tend to be less madman about their music than some of the others just mentioned, though. But still... Great music.

Big psychobilly scene down here.

Thats always annoyed me. Brisbane is a good place for music, but for some reason the billy just didn't pick up here.

I like going to see psychobilly.  The shows are usually a lot of fun.  I don't really listen to it very much though.
