I haven't played it in about 2.5 years so i can't really comment on it.
Actually I don't think it made it onto this new PC. I do have Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2, but still haven't played them hardly.

I still haven't finished Fallout 3 yet ...
But I love Skyrim, there's always something new in it  ...
 just when I thought I've seen everything; I haven't ...

I finished the main quests in FO3 but there were lots of small side quests I never got to.

Yeah, I need to pick that up again ...

Good info but like I mentioned its been years since I played it and I'm not even sure I can retrieve it from one of my old hard drives. Even if I did and it works, I would likely have to start over from scratch. That might even be cool though, I did like the game.

It's the best game I've ever played ...

I just got the Legends version, and I can't use my saves on it ...
It tells me that my saves are "version 0" and it's up to "version 9"?

I know the files aren't corrupted; I just have to find a way for them to work ...

I also got the newest one, Tamriel, for the PC for $4 shipped ....

Try saving a new game and analyzing the structure of the save compared to the old format to see if elements from the old save file can be substituted into the newer format.
It could brick the game forcing yet another clean start (save file delete) but it's worth the try.  Diff games use diff info formats in their saves. If it's all machine code, well good luck.

I haven't played Skyrim in a long time either.

I did just buy Witcher 3 for my Nintendo Switch though. It's easily one of the best games I've ever played so far.

I know the saves are good; I put them on a separate USB and opened them on the XBox360 with no issues ....

Been playing this game all day today everything maxed. Runs great and like Skyrim it's fucking addictive. (2017) but great graphics and physics, mostly.

Only been playing on easy difficulty, still been killed about ten times. Well I know you like Skyrim so I thought I would mention it.

I still have Skyrim on one of my old hard drives, I used to collect the .iso's for all the games I played then spoof the disk drive.

This is the first game my son's pc refuses to play but runs great on mine.
It has some rtx features in it and his video card is just no longer agreeable.
It's a couple model #'s older than mine and pre-rtx.   

But I will never have an Xbox.

I have a 360 and an XB1 ....

I have the PC ISO for Skyrim; I just can't get my saves from the 360 to load ....

The 360 is an Android device so that may be why the saves don't work on PC.
Lot of bullshit still going on to keep people upgrading, just trying to keep up.

The 360 saves were based on different architecture than PC aka windows saves.
I guess, I really fucking don't know.  I don't have the time left to worry about details.

There's converters; I just can't get them to work ...

Guess it's time to start a new game and do it all over. LOL

Horizon is so similar to Skyrim sans all the magic I was surprised to find it uses an entirety different  engine.  Horizon uses the Decima Skyrim uses the Creation game engine.

I'm really gonna have to check it out; I've heard about it for a minute or two now ...
