He was the reason I started seriously playing guitar ... I have a good deal of the happiness of my life, including the fact that I made a living as a live musician for over 2 and 1/2 decades, to this man and all the taught me ....

The main lead sequence that he does in this concert (from New Haven, Ct) I instantly understood, and is the one that taught me how to play guitar in just under a month simply by listening and watching the video ... I learned it, note for note (at age 13), and it defined a major part of my life ...

Stevie Ray Vaughan on the other hand, I was quite impressed with his guitar playing.

Still RIP both of them. Another I never cared for was Rod Stewart. Guess he's still around for now, just like me.

SRV - I had tickets to either the last, or one of the stops on the tour when he died ...
We used to see him every year at Lake Compounce in Connecticut ...

Cool you saw him perform live a few times.

Yeah, but he never made it to our last ticketed show ...
That was a damn shame ... We'd gone the previous 5 years prior ...
