I'm sorry, you are correct sir. So when he climbs out of his box, scales a wall, puts an arrow through someone's heart and disappears into the night, I'll apologize and be awed.
OTOH, I took your advice on the rear end of my truck and got lucky (That's lucky with a lower case L; the other one looks a little stringy to me). Went to the local pick and pull, got a complete rear, installed it found that it had already been rebuilt with good gears, was running on synthetic and had the proper amount of backlash.
Cost: $99 vs $1200 for a professional rebuild.
