Watching a movie right now but I want to ask a question. At the start of the movie there were some on screen prompts for info on some character, they looked original like it might have appeared on TV, but the movie was released in 1987. The thing that surprised me was the internet link embedded in the prompt. mgmhd.com for more info, did such a thing exist in 87 or was it added later?

The first commercial ".com" websites didn't universally appear until 1993 ...
The first "website" was actually in 1991 ...
(The PROTOCOL for it was out in 1989, however, it was for Arpanet, and for education/universities/military)
