I've never been to a Sonic, Carl's Jr, or Hardee's. The show commercials for Sonic in Michigan but as far as I know there isn't a single Sonic in the entire state of Michigan. Now I'm in Maryland and I haven't eaten much fast food at all since I've moved here except Papa John's and Panda Express.
When I lived in Ann Arbor there was a thai restaurant called
No Thai
When it opened up, the Thai students at University of Michigan protested that the name was racist and tried to have the place shut down. The guy who ran the place,
Chef No, did not understand what all the fuss was about, but appreciated all the publicity. The restaurant is now probably the most well known and patronized Thai restaurant in the area.
When I lived in Dearborn, MI (a town with tons of Lebanese, Iraqi, and Syrian Americans) there were literally two dozen Arab restaurants within 10 miles of my apartment. This place called
La Pita had the best shit ever. I took my girl there, they would literally bring you out an entire table full of Chicken and Beef Shwarma with some Kabob, Salad, Rice, Hummus, and drinks for under $30.
Oh and Mosh, the United States Census Bureau considers any municipality with more than 10,000 to be a city. I can back this up with sources from the census bureau (my Stats teacher works at the Census Bureau so I actually heard about this recently with the upcoming US census) but it would bore you to tears.
