It's almost worth getting tattooed periodically to me, just to not be elligible to give blood. I could probably do it if I had to, like if some close family member or friend needed blood urgently, but the idea FREAKS me the fuck out.

I used to donate plasma all the time, usually about twice a week. On a good day when they had specials going I could walk out with $30 for laying on a bed for an hour. I'm left with the scars of needle tracks on both my arms.

Though I've never used needles for drugs. I had a bunch of friends in the mil who were junkies, I never considered the method feasible for myself. They all wound up with hepatitis and liver damage in pretty short order. It takes many years as a raging alcoholic to sustain the kind of damage I witnessed among the heroin users in less than a year. 

It bums me out that they use the HUGEST needle to poke me, but because I'll be having to do this for the rest of my life, I'll be requesting that we drop down a size or two!  I always push fluids, the day before, to make sure I'm well hydrated, which makes my blood a little thinner.

CT:  Sounds like it's going to be a rainy day, but we've got food, I've got smokes, herb and brew, a bunch of books on my Kindle and a ton of recorded shows to watch, so I guess I'll curl up and laze away most of it.

My husband and my mom recently suggested that I go to this new place in town to donate since it has been a couple of years and I'm broke. I said "um...one of the questions they ask you is 'do you feel healthy today?' Do I look fucking healthy today?" Which is funny, cuz my husband is blind so he always replies "I think you look hot". Both of them stopped asking me to go when when it was discovered my anemia returned. Not as bad as when I was pregnant with my twins and had a reading of 8, but still low.

So while I was buying iron pills at walgreens, I notice Sally Hanson has a new nail polish "infused with iron" that has a lil magnet on top so you can make designs on your nails. All I could think is "this could go sooo wrong for some people". At first I thought TSA screenings , but now I wonder if someone with too much iron in their blood uses it...what might happen?

Besides, the colors were ugly.

I did a stupid.

Basically there are 3 parts to the exam. You're supposed to answer all of part A. 1 question out of 2 from B. 1 out of 2 from C.

Me, being the genius I am, answered ALL the questions.

But at least it wasnt like I had to do all 4 questions and I only did 2!!



It doesnt really matter and I have an exam tomorrow to worry about now.

I'm one of the world's WORST at Following The Directions,
and when I was in college, finals and exams stressed me to the point that I did things like that, too.
You can turn it around with the old "Well, I figured if I missed one of 'em ..."  lol
