My mortgage payment was about that much, but after ten years or so it mysteriously went away. Imagine that.

You guys gotta stop renting.

Cack I feel like I just cut my own throat.

Yeah the rent here is usually about the same as the mortgage but the only problem is it ties you down to that area for so much longer. It would've been good to buy a house for whilst I'm at uni but I don't intend to stay in this city afterwards and I think trying to rent it out would be a hassle in a student area.

Hahaha true.

Though I think I'll be alright this year, there's no one particularly party mad in our house.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms and a TSH level of 28, (supposed to be between 0.5-5.0.. the higher the worse off) but at least I don't have chronic bronchitis or the syph. And I am still working both jobs... and will be moving into my apartment in 49 days... deposit has been paid!!! Woo! I'm taking my cat, my internet service and my bowflex and Going. ;)

Ugh. I had carpal tunnel syndrome during my last pregnancy. It sucked but thankfully was only temporary. I can't even begin to think how bad it would suck if it was permanent. Have you considered surgery? My mom has ended up having it twice and said it does help somewhat.

CT: There is

*I just edited it out before hitting post. I don't know why. Well, I do.. ugh.. prolly cuz it made me sound like a slut or something. I should brew some coffee instead*

CFT: I've really gotten into intermittent fasting again.  I was eating like that a few years ago and started again recently.

Re: Current Thoughts Reply #7238 on: October 08, 2012, 06:01:57 PM
What's your schedule like?
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

Re: Current Thoughts Reply #7239 on: October 08, 2012, 07:06:24 PM
I use a five hour food window.  I'm only eating between 4 pm & 9 pm, though I shift the window around a little bit as necessary.  That worked pretty well for me when I was doing it before and in hindsight giving it up to try to do P90x and follow that diet was a stupid move, when it was working for me.  I also ate like that in high school, too, though I didn't call it intermittent fasting then: I called it too lazy to pack a lunch.

I find that I'm more alert during the day, feel less sluggish overall, and pay more attention to what I'm eating.  It eliminates snacking at work, cramming in junk food at lunch, getting take out for breakfast, and other bad habits.

I'm certainly not strict about it (nor am I trying to be), but that pretty much describes my general eating habits. More often than not, I eat one meal a day these days, and it's usually within a very similar time frame. I sometimes also eat again at about 11pm or so, if I eat my first meal relatively early, but usually it's just the one meal. I do drink booze after the one meal, which I oughta cut out, but that seems to be a food system that works for me. I think you need really stable blood sugar for this to be the case, and I seem to have it. (Previous sentence may be me completely talking out of my ass.)

More booze, less food. The perfect diet.

Oh, especially if you can only afford one or the other.

I drink booze occasionally, too, but it's generally 1-2 beers or a mixed drink a couple of nights per week.  Not anything like I used to drink.

Re: Current Thoughts Reply #7245 on: October 10, 2012, 12:41:04 PM
My drinking snuck back up on me a lot. Ever since I went on holiday, and treated those weeks like all bets were off and I could have whatever I wanted, I've found it hard to moderate. I seem to do better not drinking at all, rather than trying to just drink a little.

Me too, once up on that pony it's hard to stop riding around in circles.
Like yesterday a picked up two forties and downloaded a bunch of shows to watch.
But once those were gone I found myself riding back to the store for yet another.

Now I have a slight hang over, nothing serious but dam, why couldn't I just settle for the first two.

CT: two Jehovoah's Witnesses came to my door this morning dressed like detectives in trenchcoats.
I don't think that is the best idea in this neighborhood..

As a human being who was hard wired with an appropriate mixture of compassion, empathy and self preservation, I never meant to hurt anyone. Nor do I ever set out to destroy people. It is in the unbalanced organic chemical make-up passed down to me from my mother that threatens to upset the delicate flower-petal balance of my epicenter. Not even traumatic outside traumatic can do that ...

This is what my husband and I get for being listed as "No Party" in a "Swing State".....

Lots and lots of political crap from both Democrats and Republicans and now, wackadoos.

A DVD comes addressed to Zach. Says it is from DFMRF LLC.
The "movie" is called "Dreams from My Real Father" and according to the info enclosed, is "based in part on 2 years of research, interviews, and newly unearthed footage and photos.." Oh boy! 2 full years of research! That's a lot of work! So what amazing thing did director Joel Gilbert uncover that "the mainstream media doesn't want you to see"?

It is that Barack Obama's father is.....wait for it......

Frank Marshall Davis

Who?

Oh, it says here he was a Communist Party USA propagandist.

There is a picture of Frank next to a picture of Barack and the only similar feature I can find is their hairline.

Zach and I plan to watch this "must watch film" (according to Dr. Jerome Corsi of World Net Daily) in the next few days for laughs. Maybe make a drinking game out of it.

Wonder if Joel can try to get Frank and Barack and Barack Sr. on "Maury" for a "SHOCKING DNA DRAMA"

Wait, does this mean Obama really is an American? OMG the Birthers are gonna be pissed....

I'm also registered "No Party Affiliation" and after the first three times I answered the door to canvassers from both sides, I started answering it with a shotgun in my hand, and the words, "No Thank You".

Apparently no one wrote any of that down... they keep coming back.
