Finally got my transcript for the two january exams!

62 and 77% The 62 is a bit shit, low 2:1, but 77 was the one in quantum chemistry which I really wanted to do well in because revising for that made me realise which area of chemistry really excited me. And now I've proved I'm not terrible at it maybe I can do more! ^.^

When I was in high school in Idaho, we'd hike and play frisbee all winter in the snow.  Warm weather isn't a pre-requisite for outdoor activity.

Growing up in England as a kid we did plenty of outdoorsy stuff all year round. Admittedly, England doesn't tend to be Midwest-level cold, but it's certainly not Florida-like either.

I went hiking in Michigan last winter on a fairly pleasant day after the snow.  Just takes a little more motivation to convince yourself to go out in the cold.

Admittedly, I miss shoveling snow for the elderly in my neighborhood ...
I still do it (even if they aren't there anymore) if I'm up there in the winter;
... the new residents know me, and they don't mind ...

Either that or they're just terrified of you.
