My mom's side of the family (native side) is full of short people.  My dad's side is Euro trash and no one is short. 

yeah, my granpa was pretty tall and lanky. classic for his tribe. but the irish has a way of diluting even the strongest bloodlines really freaking fast. which is funny, because his wife was a petite irish ginger with blue eyes. the kids came out tall, redheaded, blue eyed and gorgeous. go figure. except for my dad. i'm very sad to say that i look very much like my dad. right down to the moustache.
