I was a late bloomer facial-hair-wise. From about age 14, I had the really sparse molester-stache, a fairly dense "soul patch" (god, how I hate that name for it), and not much else for a long time. I got to about 17 or 18 without seeing much development, thought maybe I hadn't inherited my dad's crazy-hairy face, and then BAM all of a sudden I went all werewolf.
It's a good thing for me that I have a very laid-back job when it comes to appearance, cuz I find shaving a real pain in the arse. I have a set of edging clippers that take hair down really low, and I just shave with that about once a week or so, when I start looking a little too shaggy for my own comfort level. I haven't shaved with an actual razor since July last year (when I was on holiday and didn't have my clippers with me).
Shaving sucks but growing a full-on beard sucks worse.
