This is crazy...

Anime singer from Canada. Was on TV, can sing 100+ anime songs from memory, with perfect pronunciation
Came from Canada to be an anime singer, got recognition by winning an anime song contest and chosen to sing the title song of an anime (Valkyrie Chronicles) and cannot speak japanese (although she is learning it)

If I wasn't married I would so stalk her...

?PV?HIMEKA - ???????

Kind of a strange dream to strive for.  But I dislike anime for the most part so I'm biased.

Her pronunciation is so freakishly amazing that she's clearly spent thousands of hours watching and listening to anime.

She's good, but she's no Yoko Kanno.

I would like to see more anime and think someone should give me a whole bunch of pirated stuff.  I've only really seen Inuyaha and Full Metal Alchemist on the Cartoon Network.

If you ike sci-fi, cyberpunk, or military spec-ops stuff, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.  This is my favorite episode from the first season, and it's one of the stand-alone episodes that doesn't have anything to do with the Laughing Man storyline, and it's a good intro to the series.  I dare you to watch it and not like it.

Edit:  Also, you don't have to download or pirate it, all of the episodes from both seasons are there on Veoh, you just have to sift through the japanese, spanish and german versions, which isn't too tough.

I've read about 10 of the full metal alchemist mangas. My friend has a lot of them.

We used to watch the Anime Network here but it's not around any more. Watched Wolf's rain, Bobobo, Excel Saga, then we also have kino's journey, Gunslinger girl, Witchhunter Robin and some others..

In my opinion Bobobo>Anything else.
Wolf's rain was good though.

I also recommend:
FLCL
Hellsing:  Ultimate Series
Hellsing:  the Original (but only after you've watched Ultimate Series)
Cowboy Bebop

It's not anime in the traditional sense, but watch Grave of the Fireflies. You will cry
