It really caught the State of South Carolina off guard. I interviewed Governor Sanford many times back when I was doing talk radio and the man is very genuine and so is his wife for that matter.
I can say that based on all the reports I've read, I've been more interested in how he tripped himself up by not transferring power to the Lt. Governor when he left the State. In our State, no one can act in the Governor's absence without a direct transfer of authority. Natural disaster, school shutdowns, etc... If he had used a little common sense, we wouldn't had even known about it and my State wouldn't be pulled back into the spotlight for things that don't matter.
