Same with me when I quit, no problem. Stayed sober for 7 years now I'm back to two to four forties a day. But I'm working in the sun and damn straight it makes the day go by easier.

Oh, a fat joke?  Really?  I guess after losing a pint of blood I should have gotten a vegan meal.

You know what, this is exactly why I don't like even coming here, and exactly why I'm gone.  I've got more important stuff to worry about without dealing with your childish trolly crap.  Get a life already.  Hasta.

As lame as this may sound, I've actually really been enjoying just smoking weed and waking up feeling great and shit like that.

Nice to be young eh.

I dont drink a lot... only when I go on holiday, I tend to binge. My blood pressure is normal.

I take three pills a day for my BP, each one of them warn separately "May Cause Dizziness"
Then I drink a forty, smoke a little weed and climb up on the roof.

Worrying about it wont solve it.

No problem, I've never been squeamish about blood
I'm no medical doctor but your story sounds exactly like a description of vagal nerve activation - a stress-related parasympathetic reaction to stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system. In other words it's all in your head.
I had the same experience once. Not nearly as bad as your experience, but I did experience light-headedness after having several vials of blood drawn and I am also not squeamish. The common element in our experiences is that we were surprised by the fact that they would be taking 5 vials or whatever. I was also quite disturbed by the fact that to remove the first vial and attach the second required so much fiddling with the spike still in my arm. I'd have been much happier with a single jar/pouch attached for one long drain-session rather than a vial-by-vial affair with lots of fiddling.

Also the cure for light-headedness is to sit down, lie down, or crouch. When the same thing happened to me I took a knee for about 10 minutes and I was fine. They had to do the same multi-vial blood-draw from me a week later and when they asked me if I'd ever had any problems with blood drawing I told them about the previous time. They laid me down on the doctor's bed to draw the next 5 vials. I don't know if it was because I was laid down this time or just because I was actually expecting it but there was no repeat of the dizziness.

I knew Si when he was a scrawny islander back . . . well . . . back then. Now I see pictures of him and he's the size of a refrigerator. The same thing happened to me: I got old and my metabolism started to wane and my appetite went through the roof. I went from 160 lbs. to 250 lbs. in three years. I was wearing size 30 pants for most of my life, now I'm a size 40. My thighs chaff when I walk, leaving tiny, knotted lint balls in the crotch of my khakis. My scrotum is surrounded by adipose tissue. I can't see my cock when I pee or get a blow job. I sweat when its room temperature in the apartment. When I climb over two flights of stairs, I feel like I need a ventilator. My ankles are swollen and look more like cankles. I have fat-folds on the back of my neck. And the BP machine says I'm pre-hypertensive.

Yeah for sure.

I've managed to stay kind of thin even though my amount of exercise has fallen off a cliff. I think it's because I drink half as often as I used to and we made the switch to slow carbs 2 years back.

I actually meant it as more a medically placed commentary and NOT a fat joke ...
And, well, we're older now; I'm not about fat jokes at our friends' expenses ...

I meant more, like, most people in a situation like that, especially those that have suffered with this for so many years, get a candy bar, fruit, or a smoothie, as it's faster to break down and absorb into the bloodstream; THAT was my thought ...

... sorry if it came off otherwise; again, I'll defend that he was not within faculties

I hereby reserve the right to claim this as my nickname. Si "the refrigerator" Kopath. I also reserve the right to score a touchdown in a short yardage situation, thereby not allowing Walter Payton the opportunity to have scored a touchdown in a Super Bowl, because Mike Ditka is kind of crazy/stupid.

I had post partum eclampsia after having my twins. 12 hours after being discharged from the hospital, I was back in the ER with a BP of 199/100.
The week I spent in the hospital for eclampsia exposed me to MRSA. The MRSA erupted about a month later.

Oh yeah, did I mention my husband has a crappy immune system because he has had two kidney transplants? Thank God I didn't pass MRSA to him. Or the babies.

My husband is a fuckin medical oddity. His kidneys never grew. He had a transplant in 1991 and another in 2006. He has been legally blind since 1998 because of retinitsis pigmatosa. He may have Senior-Locke syndrome, but no one on either side of his family have any kidney problem or eye problems.

Recently, he convinced the doctors to remove his fistula. He was having pain and it was discovered that the fistula was clotted. They didn't want to remove it, but he got stoned and then went to surgeon and kept saying "Take it out. I can't hold my kids because it hurts. You will have to make another fistula if I go on dyalsis again. Take it out." They finally did.

I've ballooned back up to 157!

BP is fantastic and a full bank of blood tests done just s few days ago all came back square in the normal range. Except LDL is still a little high.

Oh yeah, my youngest 2 were born a month early in order to prevent eclampsia from happening. Didn't work out that way tho.
My son was 5 lbs 10oz and my daughter was 6lbs 9oz. Both were 19 inches long. I would hate to think how big they would've been if I kept them in the extra month.

I remember reading about a woman who had 2 uteruses (uteri?) And had a pregnancy in each one. She ended up having her babies 3 months apart and both were full-term.
