Fuck you Americans, with your happy nuclear families playing Milton Bradley games.
I mean seriously, if you fuckers had been a bit more attentive about real life going on around you and less wrapped up in playing The Game Of Life, the world wouldnt be fucked right now.
Thanks a lot.

Jersey Shore(Read 12370 times)
Jersey Shore on: December 29, 2009, 09:50:25 AM
???

Seaside Heights (where most of this show was filmed) has now spoken out against this show.

Now, I haven't watched more than a couple of minutes of this atrocity, but from what I've seen it's pretty much exactly like real life at the Jersey shore, which attracts douchebags like flies to shit.

Now the degos are speaking out about the show and crying foul, but for what? Is there something wrong with putting your douchery on TV?

Here's a suggestion for you: Stop acting like that.

I don't know why Seaside is complaining, if they allowed the filming to take place. Have they ever seen MTV before? What did they expect the show to look like?

On the other hand, I can see why Jersey folks don't like it, because I am one and I've been to the shore enough times to know that the show doesn't paint an accurate picture.

I've been going to the Jersey shore for 36 years and it's pretty damn accurate to me (If you're going to Seaside or Wildwood).

Where are you going, Cape May?

Usually Sandy Hook or LBI, I haven't been to Seaside since high school. Everyone knows it sucks there, but the whole shore's not like that.

The whole shore isn't like that, but it's exactly like those two places.

the merging... the horror!!!!

I drove round Jersey with Zoomie looking for piss. I can safely say that the little bit of Jersey I saw depressed me.

Re: Jersey Shore Reply #10 on: December 30, 2009, 02:14:04 AM
People ignore the fact that there's a lot of beautiful places in New Jersey. Although that's where we keep our rednecks, so that may well have been the part that depressed you.

Re: Jersey Shore Reply #11 on: December 30, 2009, 09:52:43 AM
No it was southern Jersey, just across the river from Christiana, DE. And it was pretty depressing. One little town after another, and all of them dying a slow, economic death. We drove from Glenside, through Salem, down to Bridgeton and back. We should have gone North. Would have found what I was looking for up near Cherry Hill...

I was talking about Mosh's Jersey depression, although parts of South Jersey would certainly do it.

Cherry Hill

There isn't actually a White Castle there, apparently. Which is kinda disappointing.

Yeah.  Two of my friends and I drove up to NJ to go to White Castle after that movie and were disappointed to find that Cherry Hill didn't have one...so we ended up driving to Tom's River.

Well, considering I don't eat meat anymore, a bottle of the Knot is way more to my liking than White Castle.

Though watching my old roommate choke down 30 white castle burgers was pretty funny.  He ate three times as much as many as I did.  All the chinese people I've ever met can really pack away a fuck ton of food.

It's what I was looking for, Ian was just along for the ride. You can't buy it here because MD has issues with a liqueur made with whiskey.

Re: Jersey Shore Reply #28 on: January 03, 2010, 09:27:59 PM
I just saw the show for the first time tonight.
It's pretty accurate to my first impressions of New Jersey. I've found the impression to be a bit of a over-generalization since I first became a resident, but not a totally backwards-thinking impression. New Jersey has a higher percentage of douchebags per square inch than anywhere else I've lived.

Related: I was noticing the other day while light-railing it from Trenton down to my apartment that there's a noticeable lack of punks in New Jersey. I mean sure there may be a few kids who put on their safety-pin denims on the weekends for a show or something, and of course there are plenty of 15-year-old Avril Lavigne eyeliner girls, but where are the squeegee punks? Where are the mohawks? They make up the vast majority of the destitute homeless youth in Canada. Maybe the punks are all living in different areas? North Jersey or something? Or they just lay low maybe? Or is punk dead?

The guy that socked her is an MMA fighter.

That show makes me feel like I need to be scrubbed clean a la Silkwood.
