OK.

1. Remove popped tiles. Put aside for emergencies.

2. Remove adhesive mortar down to durock being careful not to penetrate durock. A 5-in-one tool and a hammer works well but DO NOT HAMMER TOWARD SURROUNDING TILE EDGES! Drive the 5-in-one parallel to the surrounding tile edges. Against the surrounding tile scrape gently.

3.  Choose replacement tiles based on color and balance.

4. Have a bucket of water and a grout sponge handy to thoroughly clean wet mortar from surrounding tiles.

5. Mix about 3 cups of bonding mortar per tile with water to the consistency of peanut butter.

6. Spread in areas to be set with a square notch mortar trowel. Press tiles into mortar evenly until they are at the same level as the surrounding tiles. Clean up any excess mortar completely. Adjust grout line spacing. Allow to harden. Clean sponge immediately and completely.

7. When set, mix grout to consistency of cake batter. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Stir up again. Trowel grout into groutlines using float or sponge, pushing grout into lines without voids.

8. Let set 20 minutes. Wipe down with grout sponge three times using increasingly dry sponge each time. Wipe lines gently so you don't remove grout. Wipe until the groutlines match. Let dry overnight.

9. Enjoy. Sorry I can't get up there right now.
