I hated my job, they weren't going to let me go to Japan, so I found another one which I really like.  :)
Like yours.  Only different.

Sasha, you've already booked right? they cant really stop you if you tell them...

Re: Hiroshima Reply #242 on: September 15, 2009, 12:42:29 AM
but you're still coming, ne?

Are you going to be able to get a train ticket, or should we try to organize something for you?

Re: Hiroshima Reply #243 on: September 15, 2009, 03:23:44 AM
I just bought the rail ticket and I am putting a second form in requesting the time off for the trip.  If he doesn't tell me in two days, if I can go or not, I will go to the head boss and ask him, but they aren't stopping me from going.  I will just have to be tighter with my money in Japan if I have to quit my job.

Re: Hiroshima Reply #244 on: September 15, 2009, 03:59:08 AM
Word. We'll help you out. I've tried to keep everything low budget. Kyle is almost a millionaire and will throw down for a lap dance.

Kyle is so full of shit.  If Kyle is going to be a millionaire then I will be the queen of France.

Re: Hiroshima Reply #246 on: September 15, 2009, 05:24:29 AM
They haven't had one of those in a while.

Anyway, just make sure you've got enough to pay for your hotels, and add $50 a day for food. The rest we'll figure out. You may not be able to afford going to hipster spots now, however!

Re: Hiroshima Reply #247 on: September 15, 2009, 05:34:15 AM
I will skip five meals, in a row, to go to a hipster spot.

Cost of Hotels-  I got the figure $476.53-total, does that seem right?

It's whatever your Tokyo room at the Gramercy comes to + about 7,500 yen for hiroshima.

I wouldn't know a hipster spot if one bit me...

Re: Hiroshima Reply #250 on: September 16, 2009, 02:17:11 AM
I always have to do the work when it comes finding the local fun night clubs where ever I go.  I will figure it out.

Re: Hiroshima Reply #251 on: September 16, 2009, 03:03:35 AM
I think I'll take you all to Roppongi, make sure everyone is carrying a card with the hotel address and $100 cash and let you scatter to the wind.

I don't think Hipster is a scene here amongst the westerners and I'm 99% sure that's because you need a degree to stay more than 90 days

There aren't Japanese hipsters in Japan?  That's hard to believe.

I can't wait to go to Japan, because I can dress all super duper fucking crazy hipster and I bet it won't even be 1/100 as cool as how all the other people are dressed.

I was denied time off so I am putting in my two weeks on the 15th of October.  I feel like it is blessing in disguise.  I hated this job, especially after the sexual harassment stuff.  I also just found out that my boss has been stock piling pictures of my on his hard drive, creep.

I am going to ask my dad to lend me $1000 for spending in japan.  I am also going to hit my mom up and my grandmother for cash.  I also forgot that I am getting $1000 in student loan money in middle october.  It will be okay you guys!  I am focusing on the fun not that struggle when I come back!

Re: Hiroshima Reply #257 on: September 17, 2009, 02:53:13 AM
That sucks, although it's good that you're gonna make it. You shouldn't need that much cash, if you've over 5'5" there's small chance you'd fit any clothes on sale here anyways

There was this cool ass clothes shop I found with retro style shirts out in the front bins. Picked up a bad ass Astro Boy shirt for like the equiv of $10. I forget the name of the shop. Somewhere in Shinjuku.

Harajuku's hilarious.

Re: Hiroshima Reply #261 on: September 18, 2009, 01:46:38 AM
Nah it has some cheesy name like "T-Shirt heaven" or something similar. It looked like a cheesy place, pretty small, and like I said big bins out front where you can dig through the shirts. Awesome place. But if you actually ventured into the store, and started looking at prices on the jeans and what not, holy mother of rape.

you treat me like a monologue ho

Re: Final Check - Hotels & JR Passes Reply #265 on: September 25, 2009, 12:11:51 AM
yep - think so. You need to activate it at the JR station in Narita Airport by giving it to the ticket guy when you buy your train ride in to Tokyo. I'll give more details on that later

Fuck them; I've got a degree in medicine; I can handle my own ....
This is important enough to work around ....

Yea, because you'll never have as much fun in Florida as you will in Japan giving Kyle swirlies in comically shaped toilets.

My boss gave me the excuse that I will have to go on leave without pay to to cover my 8 days off for Japan as the reason why he didn't approve my time off, and through some creativity on my part I found the time and wrote him this email.....

"Charles,

I won't have to take leave with out pay in order to go to Japan, which is the reason you gave as to why I wasn't allowed to go.  I just did the numbers.  As of October 31, 2009 I will have to take 8 days off in order to go on the trip.  I will have as time available: 2 R days, 2 Holiday Comp time days, 3 sick days ( I don't have to bring a doctors note until after the third day of being sick), and 1 day of time off for doing the Nami Walk.  I am also going to get a physical so I can accrue the 8 hours/1 day of emergency leave for taking a health risk assessment .  That totals 9 days that I will have to cover the 8 days.  Seeing as how this solves the problem will you please update the October schedule in order to show that I will be off on the 31st, (since I will be on an airplane that day).

Thank goodness this was solved, it works out for everyone now!

Sasha xxx"

I hope he chokes on that, the cocksucker.
