Perhaps divorce is in order, yes, but say both parties are not financially secure enough to pay for said divorce.

It doesn't matter.  You can get a no-fault divorce in all 50 states.

So while it's financially necessary to maintain the legal entity, you can agree to an open "marriage" if you're worried about your current husband being upset if he found out you were playing around with other people without prior discussion.  That won't impact your ability to get divorced when your financial situation allows.

Or you can just cheat and not worry about it. 

Or you can go to the legal aid bureau in your state and discuss your options with a lawyer.

All that makes this idiotic and frustrating is that I just don't have the financial stability to move out yet. We have nothing in common. Honestly.

I can get a divorce for the total amount of $624. Including court costs, since there is absolutely nothing to contest. It's just a matter of gathering it.
