It did come out sounding like an advertisement for the "green economy," though. I was pretty put off by the continuing celebration of half-ass solutions. For example, they had a bit about stackable electric cars that could also hook to some train thing...seriously, just build a fucking train.
I also thought that the idea of NYC as some sort of Mecca when the shit really hits the fan was kind of funny. Especially when they get to the point in the show about building giant walls to protect NYC from sea level rise - there are other places in the US. Places where you don't have labor intensive buildings to maintain. Places where there are also canals and rivers to use for transportation, yet where you wouldn't have to build a giant wall to prevent the city from being flooded.
