ROFLMAO!!!

They missed a bet, there, though, at the end?

"You're one of the "good" ones."

Instead of saying, "You, too, white guy!" it should have been, "You, too, Cracker!"   ;D

Well, but a Devil could be cute, and White sort of leans towards purity and goodness...

Cracker sort of says:  A dried-up piece of bread that couldn't take the heat of the sun, and crumbles under pressure.

Also, Devil, cute?

Aren't you supposed to be Christian?

Yes I do. I hate that picture.

If you're a true Christian shouldn't you care about this stuff?

You said we're walking away from Gods principles and that stuff but... then so are you.

i guess when i think of White Devil, i don't really think of some hideously grotesque evil entity...

We are, and i are ~

but in my heart, i know where my comfort lies, and i always rely on Him, for everything.  Sometimes i drift, only to be pulled up short and horrified by myself, at which time i'm truly repentent, and start out, again to try to KNOW  well, blah, blah, blah

i know most of y'all don't much appreciate me talking about any of this, so, true to my title...

Actually, Christians are INSTRUCTED to drink wine, and for some excellent medical reasons:

A)  The iron in the grapes is good for your blood;
B)  The relaxation helps you get to sleep, and stay asleep;
C)  It aids in digestion;
and the list goes on.

Only took modern medical science how long to figure that out?

(sorry about this, but if ONE thing in the Bible is True?  It's ALL true...  Using the scientific laws of Logic, that is, which are based on mathematical principles)

Does it explicitly say these things in the bible? That the iron in grapes is good for your blood? That getting fucked up on a depressant will help you sleep?

Ok, so everything in the Bible is true... Like people living for near on a thousand years. Explain that one for me?

Is there an undiscovered code to a unified general theory of physics in the Bible too?

Re: This might catch on... Reply #24 on: August 10, 2009, 11:01:55 AM
If one thing in the bible is true, all of it must be true?

By logic, that's an inductive fallacy - leaping to a conclusion/hasty generalization.  You can't judge a book that consists of thousands of verses based on a sample size of 1.

Using mathematic principles, the only way you can say anything is 100% true is to prove that everything is true.  Otherwise, you have a number + a margin of error.

There's a Christian school in this town, gets the best grades here but I know a girl who goes there and she found the song 'I kissed a girl' by Katy Perry hilarious because it's...waitforit.. a girl singing about a kissing girl... And that's just wrong.

Yeah, I'd take shitty schooling over that any day.

Ok, so everything in the Bible is true... Like people living for near on a thousand years. Explain that one for me?

Is there an undiscovered code to a unified general theory of physics in the Bible too?

It DOES explicitly say those things:

1 Tim 5:23  "No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments."

There are more citations that show a positive attitude towards drinking, but that about sums it up.  Also, Christian's are NOT "forbidden" to drink alcohol ~ we ARE forbidden from being drunk and rowdy.

And the Logic that i use is one that begins with :  If, IN THE OBJECT being scrutinized, it is stated that EVERYTHING in said object is true, then, either it is or it isn't, and you start looking for truths and/or lies.  When you keep finding truths, and the supposed "lies" are nothing more than a misunderstanding of time and/or place, well.

i have no idea what all the dinosaur stuff is about, other than you think they're older/younger than claimed in the Bible?

2 Peter 3:8  But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

Our concept of time is necessarily different than a Being whom is Infinite ~ He's pretty well beyond our 4th dimension, and there are bound to be some problems with understanding.

(sorry ~ quit smoking, yesterday, and had to run out and get a pack of smokes ~ i'll explain THAT later)

As far as folks living for thousands of years, we believe that God made us perfect, and humans were meant to live forever in the Garden, but the further and further away we got from God, the more and more we contaminated ourselves.  Now, medical science is finally catching up, and we're starting to live longer, again.

Do YOU truly believe that no one could live to be 1000?  i'm sure folks in the past centuries would have been JUST as sure that no one would EVER live to be 100...

A lot of believing in the Bible, and in God, has to do with trust.  When you trust someone/something, you aren't on the lookout for lies ~ you're looking for the truths, and you accept that some things just aren't going to make sense to you, especially not about something that, for lack of a better term, T-bones into your very reality.
