You might miss a surprise guest...

What Zoomie means is that he got his script of Viagra filled and he's planning on bringing back Mr. Happy that weekend.

It's been a looooong time  ;)

Wow. Great photo Zooms. That's the first picture I've seen of everyone all together where it doesn't just look like 8 people sleeping in the same room at a ghetto Ramada Inn and drinking Malibu out of plastic flip-cups. A porch. That's classy stuff, man. I'm a porch proponent. Whose place is that then?

Also, that is one sexy elbow, Geek.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #95 on: March 10, 2009, 08:58:51 PM
Whose place is that then?

That's Steeleye's beachhouse.
Zoomie built that porch!

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #96 on: March 10, 2009, 08:59:18 PM
Belongs to my good friend Steeleye. He and I built it two Springs ago. It's nearly as big as the rest of the house.

I'm friends with geek's friends.

Are they married yet? They had major parents-are-religious issues as far as I remember. I *believe* the girl is called Holly.... tip of the tongue stuff though

You mean like this?

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #100 on: March 11, 2009, 08:51:29 AM
That's a mid-level Ramada Inn and this is obviously before anyone had the idea to buy the Malibu but yeah more or less. I see no professional looking porch, no cooler presumably filled with beer, and most of all no little labels so I have no idea whose elbows are whose.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #101 on: March 11, 2009, 09:04:15 AM
Not bad, but it was actually the morning after the night before mentioned in some other thread here...

On the bed, in no particular order, Carolyn, Mello, Joe, Tulip and some fat Aussie bloke in a shirt that said REDNECK.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #102 on: March 11, 2009, 09:13:51 AM
Just so we're clear I'm mainly just kidding about the overall ghettoness. I'm usually the one suggesting that we save the extra $5 and search for an EconoLodge. Still I do like a place with a lawn and fresh air.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #103 on: March 11, 2009, 09:20:13 AM
You know, for a place right next to the airport, that place wasnt too bad for noise.

And I could get pornography just down the road.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #104 on: March 11, 2009, 01:31:52 PM
Meh. It was a little ghetto. Denny's was close, titty bars weren't. But a good time was had by all. Thirty more seconds of prodding and krsna would have convinced me to wake up Joe and Carolyn with a brick of firecrackers he/I/someone brought. Then we'd have all been thrown off the premises... BFD.

Man, what a great time that was. I was already shit faced by the time Mosh got there.  You should have thrown the fireworks in the room. Weren't we leaving in a couple of hours anyway?

Yup. We were. Without the help of the local police or burn marks on the carpet.

Now if that shit had happened the night before it would have been cool. Morning after destruction is not cool. Nothing to blame the asshattery on.

Speaking of, I'm planning to bring more fireworks.  I haven't set any off since last time I was there.

Two things occur to me regarding board members visiting each other/getting together and dressing like Celts etc.

1. I'm kind of a fuckin' lamer for never having visited any of you except Pepper and Carolyn, when both our OzKiwi pals have already.

2. You're all fuckin' lamers for never having visited me, considering I live in the fuckin' Caribbean.
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #110 on: March 11, 2009, 09:42:53 PM
I agree... but cost is the big killer... it aint cheap getting from the US to Antigua.

I'd love to visit if it were cheaper and a bit easier.

Re: Spring Equinox Invitation Reply #111 on: March 11, 2009, 09:52:01 PM
I'd visit if I could get a sailboat that's worth a crap. Gave the big one away today.

Or vice-versa. And I know how multi-destination holidays go, dude. Between cost and spending practically a whole day getting here and then another getting back, it's a pretty difficult proposition. But the door's always open for ya (most of youse guys, actually). If you can make it down, you got a place to stay, and 16 years' worth of inside info about the cool shit to do/see/drink/smoke on this rock.

I've been saying this for a while but I'm closer to making that trip. Hopefully soon if things turn out right. I'll try to time it with an international cricket tour.

2. You're all fuckin' lamers for never having visited me, considering I live in the fuckin' Caribbean.

As far as I can tell, there's one Continental flight that goes from the US to Antigua, and it flies out of Newark.
However, it looks like I can get a ticket to Antigua for about the price of a ticket to any other place in Latin America.  That's intriguing.
What is Antigua like in August?

Hmmm this intrigues me also... whats the damage?
I've been planning to take a year off and work in the UK or Europe for 6 months... but that's been put on hold until 2010 at the earliest. That would be the perfect time to visit Si...

Si, I don't think that a day goes by when I don't think about how awesome it would be to go visit Antigua. Someday, when I'm not poor anymore, I'm gonna totally do it!
